SEOM Standard to Enterprise Migration Services

If you are considering or have already made the move to Enterprise Edition, you should consider the following services provided by TC.  While the basics of SQL Server are mildly more complex than MS Access, exploiting the features which can give you greater performance, scalability and availability aren't necessarily straight forward.  Additionally, managing this new database isn't as simple as MS Access and requires some careful planning and execution.

• Quick audit of SQL Server instance

• Recommend configuration changes and implement approved recommendations

• Create a blank SEOM database

• Add SQL Server user & grant them access to the SEOM database
• Aid in setting up ODBC DSN's
• Assist with backup of existing SEOM environment

• Help get migration started

• Monitor status of migration and state of SQL Server (periodically)

• Implement basic schedule SQL Server jobs:

   

  • Backups

  • Integrity Checks

• Assist with pointing client machines to new SQL Database
